TCC Stata—the newest MIT child care center—was designed with inquisitive children in mind. Here, children can explore the materials around them and exercise their innate creativity. We foster development and independence through an emergent curriculum based on the specific needs and interests of each child.
We are located in the spectacular Ray and Maria Stata Center on the MIT campus. Our classrooms combine warm wood and colors with interesting industrial materials. Outside, our beautiful playground provides natural features such as a waterfall, hills, logs, and a variety of native plants and trees.
Our community is international and multicultural, and our children learn about other cultures and countries through parent activities and participation. Working together, our teachers and families help the children explore and develop new skills while expanding their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. The academic activities surrounding us at Stata continually enrich the children's learning experience, sparking their curiosity and imagination.
TCC Stata has achieved the highest quality of services as determined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is NAEYC accredited.
