Quiet room off to the side. Locker space available to store equipment or pump. You may breastfeed here, too. No sign up needed. If you encounter problems using the room, contact Pat Bartels, bart@med.mit.edu.

Large, quiet lounge room, with alcove with breast pump. Sign up for regular time to use the pump, or bring your own setup. You may breastfeed here, too. Lounge room is kept locked, as it is on a public corridor. To get the combination to the door or assistance using the room, contact the Women's League office, 617-253-3656.

MIT Medical Breastfeeding Information and Consultations

Breastfeeding consultations are available to members of the MIT community, at no cost to families with insurance through MIT Medical, and for a fee to others.

Center for Health Promotion and Wellness, Book & Video Library
The Center's lending library includes books and videos on a wide range of health topics, including childbirth and breastfeeding.

Healthwise Information Library
The "Healthwise Knowledgebase" includes an article on breastfeeding, offering information on the benefits of breast-feeding, planning for breastfeeding, techniques, common concerns, and safety considerations.

Breastfeeding Supplies, and Breast Pump Rental/Purchase

A number of local hospitals and vendors offer breast pump rental or purchase, as well as information and supplies. These include:
