HUMAN RESOURCES at MIT
Welcome

The MIT Center for Work, Family & Personal Life fosters a welcoming and supportive environment that enhances the lives of the diverse mix of people and families who live, work, and study at MIT. We recognize that improving the quality of life here helps improve the quality of MIT itself -- and enables the Institute to serve as a model for other organizations. For students, faculty, staff, and their families, we accomplish this in a number of ways:

  • We provide direct services in the areas of parenting, child care, school information, and job flexibility.

  • We offer referrals and guidance to those seeking information and solutions through MIT's network of human services offices and organizations.

  • We conduct a wide range of projects, perform research and advocacy into work/life issues, and help to develop policies and programs that improve the quality of life at MIT and influence other communities and institutions that are examining these issues.

  • We oversee MIT's child care centers in Cambridge and Lexington, in partnership with Bright Horizons/Family Solutions.
