Navigating the MIT Community

MIT Community and Network

It is recommended that you actively reach out to key individuals across the MIT community to learn more about Institute priorities, governance, and culture, and to discover ways in which your work, goals, and priorities might intersect across MIT Departments, Lab, Centers, Initiatives, functional areas, administrative offices and community groups.

Many key contacts, offices, and services can be found on MIT’s organization chart and through AdminConnect. A consolidated listing of events on campus can be found on the MIT Events Calendar, and you can explore MIT through social media and through Yammer, an enterprise social network.

There are also ways to get involved and become familiar with the broader MIT community, such as through the Kendall Square Initiative, Community Giving at MIT, and the MIT Club of Boston.
