#3. Install web certificates.

Before you can enter MIT's secure online environment—critical to many Institute procedures—you'll need to request an MIT computer account, then install MIT web certificates on your computer. Check with your department to find out if they usually request your computer account for you. If they don't, you can request one by visiting the IS&T website Getting Your Electronic Credentials, where you can also install your MIT web certificates. Keep in mind that after you've requested your computer account, it takes three business days before you can access certain MIT systems such as the Employee Self Service Center.

#4. Enroll.

You have 31 days to sign up for benefits listed below. Three business days after you request your Kerberos I.D. and you have your web certificate installed, you can enroll online at the Employee Self Service Center. Please contact the Benefits Office with questions by calling 617-253-6151.
