Understanding MIT's Salary Ranges

The number or letter which follows the job number in the description section of the posting represents the position's level or grade, e.g., mit-00001234-5 or mit-00001234-N.

If there is no code following the job number, the salary range will depend on available funding in addition to years and type of experience, internal equity and external market data.

Numbers represent support (non exempt) staff salary ranges and letters represent administrative (exempt) staff salary ranges. Below are the current ranges for our Support Staff and Administrative Staff positions:
