Purpose
To provide new Support Staff with an experienced colleague who can help navigate MIT during their first year (also called the "onboarding" period.) The objective is to show new Support Staff how to get things done at MIT. This program enhances existing support programs, and supports those working in more isolated areas. The ultimate goal is to create a partnership that is rewarding for both the new employee and the experienced employee.
Who participates
- Experienced Support Staff who have a minimum of 15 months experience and a willingness to commit six to nine months. We’re looking for staff in good standing, who are committed to diversity and inclusion, interested in sharing information and improving workplace practices.
- New Support Staff who have no more than three months experience and a willingness to commit six to nine months. We’re looking for staff in good standing, who are committed to diversity and inclusion, interested in learning and improving workplace practices.
