with an extended day option until 5:00 PM
Our preschool classroom provides a number of distinct activity areas for small-group play. The group size is large enough to support a range of opportunities for multi-age friendships, which are especially valuable for children learning English at different ages. Our teacher-child ratio is enhanced by the presence of parent volunteers working under the supervision of the certified teaching-director and teacher.
Preschool Classroom:
15 children ages 2 years 9 months – Kindergarten Entry
One teaching-director, one teacher, and at least one parent volunteer are in the classroom at all times
Parents work side by side with teacher and director to fulfill the required four hours per week of volunteer work. Volunteer opportunities range from working in the classroom supporting the teachers, helping with monthly newsletters and documentation panels, organizing parent and community events, librarian, administrative support, and facilitating art, music and cooking projects.
