The David H. Koch Childcare Center, located at 219 Vassar Street, will be MIT’s newest childcare center when it opens in early fall, 2013. The center was made possible through the generosity of MIT alumnus and Corporation member David H. Koch ’62, SM ’63 who provided a lead gift, and alumnus Charles W. Johnson ’55 and Jennifer C. Johnson. The new two-story building will house 10 classrooms, indoor gross-motor room, conference room, and staff offices. Outdoor facilities will include a variety of playgrounds, sand pits, climbing features, and gardens. The center will have an adjacent parking lot for convenient short-term parking for parents who are dropping off and picking up children.
