Among the TCC centers, TCC Eastgate has the longest history—and the newest classroom. Our care and education programs emphasize communication and language, respect for other cultures, and warm relationships between teachers, parents, and children.
For over 40 years, our toddler and preschool program has been located at Eastgate. In October 2011, we opened a new satellite classroom called TCC North Court in Building 68.
Our community represents a range of cultures, professions, and backgrounds. We consider ourselves an extended family, enriched by our diversity. Parents and families often visit the center to participate in storytelling, educational activities, and cultural events. We celebrate holidays that are relevant and meaningful to our community—and the changing seasons also inspire celebrations, including our big harvest festival in the fall, when we go out apple picking and bring the magic of a barnyard into our playground.
TCC Eastgate has achieved the highest quality of services as determined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is NAEYC accredited. (Note: TCC North Court is currently too small and too new to be eligible for accreditation, per NAEYC requirements.)
