Meet our TCC Teachers

The teachers at TCC form the heart of our community. Although they represent a wide range of ages, experiences, cultures, languages, and backgrounds, they share a deep commitment to the care and education of young children. As trained early childhood professionals, they offer both expertise and kindness, creating a learning environment that allows TCC children to achieve intellectual and social growth while remaining safe and secure.

All of our teachers are employees of Bright Horizons—and all are dedicated to understanding the MIT culture, becoming a part of the MIT community, and providing the community's members with the highest quality of services.

We invite you to meet some of our teachers here:

Elizabeth Tedesco (TCC Eastgate)

"Right after college, I got a job with AmeriCorps in the field of early child care, promoting early literacy. I discovered a real affinity for children—I get along well with them, and I love getting them interested in reading. At TCC Eastgate, I continue to learn as I teach, and the diversity of the community makes my work particularly interesting. My degree is in Latin American Studies and Spanish, I spent two years living in Argentina, and now I am able to witness children not only learning their native language but also learning the other languages they are exposed to at TCC. There's a real richness in the worlds that collide here."

Maureen Fagan (TCC Linc)

"I have worked at Linc for more than 10 years, and I continue to enjoy it. It's great to watch the children learn new things—to see the amazement in their eyes. We have a wonderful teacher-to-student ratio, and this lets us focus more on individual children and individual learning styles. It also means we can keep changing the curriculum, which makes our teaching more fresh and also makes the learning experience more interesting and challenging for the children in each of our different age groups. Some of the most important things the children learn here are cooperation, friendship, and how to help each other."
