Below is a sampling of workshops, seminars, and briefing topics:
- Managing Your Development and Career provides an overview of different steps in the career planning process including self-assessment, researching organizational opportunities, networking, and development planning. It offers employees a structured process to identify values, skills, interests, and other work motivators. It explores multiple career strategies and sets the foundation for creating action plans.
- Networking and Informational Interviewing: A well-developed network is a key aspect of managing your development and career at MIT. This workshop will demystify networking and informational interviewing by providing information and tools to identify your current network and expand it based on your development goals. The workshop will cover how to:
a) prepare questions to conduct an informational meeting;
b) get information about future work that helps you use your current role to build skills and knowledge; and
c) use “The Inside Track: MIT Employees Career Connection Network”
