Health Plan Overview

MIT offers eligible employees a choice of health plan options, including health maintenance organizations (HMO), a point-of-service (POS) plan and a preferred provider organization (PPO) to assist with most types of medical care. There are no pre-existing condition exclusions under these Plans.

If you reside outside of New England, you may enroll in the PPO plan.

This information is intended to be a summary of the Plan. The Plan document contains all the details. If there is a conflict between this summary and the Plan document, the Plan document will control.

MIT expects to continue the Plan as a benefit to employees, but reserves the right to change or terminate the Plan should this become necessary or advisable.
