AO Fundamentals Program
|
HR is pleased to announce AO Fundamentals 2012. The AO Fundamentals Program is a three month learning and development experience that introduces the essential aspects of being an Administrative Officer. The program is designed for both administrative and support staff who currently work in areas that might typically be part of an AO role, such as finance, human resources, academic administration, research administration, and other program or department coordination roles. The program is open to employees in good standing who have worked at MIT at least two years as of October 19, 2012. There are three components of the program: group workshops, individual development planning, and informal coaching. The workshops begin October 19 and conclude December 14, 2012. Participants are expected to attend all eight sessions. AO Fundamentals 2012 will admit 24 people, with approximately ¾ of the participants selected by the senior leadership (e.g. Assistant Deans, HR Directors) in their areas and ¼ selected by an open lottery process. AO Fundamentals is not open to current AOs (or individuals in AO type positions.) Application deadline is July 13, 2012. More information and the application are below.
