401(k) Streamlined Investment Line-up

As announced in 2015, MIT transitioned to a new, streamlined 401(k) investment line-up. This website is dedicated to that transition and covers everything you'll need to know as a participant.

401(k) Investment Transition Guide

This guide, in PDF format, explains:

  • Why MIT made this change
  • What funds are offered in the core line-up
  • Transition-related details

If you have a disability and need accessibility assistance or an accommodation to learn about the streamlined 401(k) investment line-up, please submit a request to benefits@mit.edu or call 617-253-6151, Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. We ask that you please specify the nature of the assistance you need.
